Meet Alanna,

SHE/HER

PUBLIC HEALTH intern

Alanna is currently a Master of Public Health student at the University of Miami, expected to graduate in May 2027. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota and has spent over five years working as a Clinical Research Coordinator, where her experience in cancer research shaped her interest in prevention science. Throughout her MPH, she has focused on lifestyle-based interventions for disease prevention and health promotion, exploring how factors like nutrition, physical activity, and stress reduction can reduce chronic disease risk and support long-term wellbeing. She's also interested in women's health, particularly increasing the representation of women in research.

Outside of work and school, Alanna enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors. She's always looking for something new to explore, whether it's a coffee shop, workout class, or restaurant.
