This session focused on the challenges organizations face in turning Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs) into real community change, along with practical strategies to improve implementation and accountability. Public health leaders from across the country shared real-world experiences, lessons learned, and collaborative solutions for creating actionable, sustainable CHIP processes.
This session focused on the unique challenges city health departments face during the Community Health Assessment (CHA) process, including limited funding, staffing constraints, data accessibility, and meeting PHAB requirements. Public health leaders shared real-world experiences, collaborative strategies, and practical solutions for improving partnerships, engaging diverse communities, and creating more effective and sustainable CHA processes.
This session focused on practical strategies for creating more engaging and accessible data visualizations and reports. The presentation highlighted simple, low-cost ways to improve storytelling, ADA accessibility, and audience understanding through better charts, headings, photos, tables, and inclusive design practices.
