Meet Burk,

SHE/HER

PUBLIC HEALTH CONSULTANT

Burk Steinman earned her Master of Public Health from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University. Her career in public health began with her work as an Emergency Medical Technician for a local fire department, where she witnessed firsthand the importance of preventive healthcare. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in public health, with a focus on community health and the prevention of chronic health issues.

For the past three years, Burk has worked in the non-profit sector, focusing on substance misuse and suicide prevention, addressing these issues through education and early intervention. Prior to earning her MPH, she worked as a case manager at North Central Mental Health Services, where she developed treatment plans and connected clients to community-based housing and healthcare resources. She is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS), Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and is passionate about creating positive change through effective public health interventions. Burk is committed to advancing public health by focusing on education, outreach, and advocacy to improve community well-being.

Burk resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and dog. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
